  • Who is the funder of the project?

    This project is supported by USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).

  • What regions are targets?

    East and South Africa and South Asia.

  • What are the target groups?

    Community-based organizations (CBOs), local non-governmental organizations (LNGOs) and national non-governmental organizations (NNGOs) that are involved with emergency response and humanitarian assistance activities.

  • What services is the LCS4R project providing?

    To address gaps and improve the effectiveness of emergency preparedness and response by CBOs, LNGOs and NNGOs, the project will focus on three complementary activities: intensive capacity strengthening for 10 selected organizations; a series of training symposia targeting a broader audience; and a knowledge management platform (KMP) providing resources to all participating organizations, as well as the wider NGO community.
