GANA UNNAYAN KENDRA (GUK)

Established: 1985

Mission: GUK works with and for poor, extreme poor, vulnerable, excluded and all other disadvantaged groups of people, especially women, children, ethnic groups and people with disabilities to bring about a sustainable positive change in their lives.

Geographical Coverage: Cox's Bazar, Gaibandha, Rangpur, Bogura, and Nilphamari.

Beneficiaries: 200,000 in 2022 GUK always aims to include the following: Poor, extreme poor female, and male; Persons and children with disabilities; Indigenous people; Marginalized farmers; Small and medium entrepreneurs; Adolescents and youth; Disadvantaged people living in the vulnerable and hard to reach locations; People who suffer due to unsafe migration.

LOVING CARE FOR THE OPPRESSED SOCIETY (LoCOS)

Established: 1998

Mission: An environmentally sound and economically independent society.

Geographical Coverage: Khulna, Bagerhat, and Cox’s Bazar.

Beneficiaries: 60,836 in 2022 Marginalized, indigenous small & medium sized families who are landless, poor laborers, including female-headed households and ethnic minority groups.

ETHIOPIA

CENTER OF CONCERN (CoC)

Established: 2005

Mission: To see a society free from poverty and injustice.

Geographical Coverage: With permission to work in any district of the country, CoC primarily operates in Sidama National Regional State, South Nations Nationalities and Peoples Regional State (SNNPR), Oromiya National Regional State, and Amhara National Regional State.

Beneficiaries: 672,304 in 2022 Orphans and vulnerable children, vulnerable women, girls, people living with HIV, youth, internally displaced people (IDPs), migrants, migrant returnees, aged people, and disadvantaged communities and minorities.

FAYYAA INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (FIDO)

Established: 2002

Mission: To see people having equal access to health, education, development, and well-being.

Programatic Areas: WASH, Health, Shelter, Nutrition, and Protection.

Geographical Coverage: Addis Ababa, Oromia, Somali, South Nations Nationalities and Peoples Regional State (SNNPR), and Gambella.

Beneficiaries: 466,416 in 2022 Those who are directly or indirectly affected by either conflict or natural disaster in the targeted areas. These beneficiaries can be internally displaced people (IDPs), returnees, as well as host communities.

OWS DEVELOPMENT FUND (OWS)

Established: 1992

Mission: A Nation in which every person attains the right to survival, protection, development, and participation.

Geographical Coverage: All 93 Woredas of the Somali Region, South Nations Nationalities and Peoples Regional State (SNNPR), Konso Zone, Karat Zuriya, Segen Zuriya, and Kena Woredas.

Beneficiaries: 2,800,000 in 2022 The poor, underserved, and communities affected by disasters and emergencies.

MALAWI

ACTION HOPE MALAWI (AHM)

Established: 2005

Mission: Action hope Malawi endeavors to create solutions to poverty, good governance, social injustice, hunger and inequality in Malawi with active participation of communities.

Geographical Coverage: AHM works in 4 districts of the southern region of Malawi: Blantyre, Zomba, Machinga and Chiradzulu with its office in Thondwe, Zomba.

Beneficiaries: 12,700 in 2022 Female sex workers, marginalized rural women, the youth and children.

MALAWI NETWORK OF OLDER PERSONS’ ORGANIZATION (MANEPO)

Established: 2013

Mission: To promote coordination, knowledge sharing and inclusion of older men and women in programs and policies in order to reduce poverty, abuse, and discrimination.

Geographical Coverage: Headquartered in Limbe, with 2 regional offices in Lilongwe and Zomba.

Pakistan

LEAD AGAINST MARGINALITY & POVERTY (LAMP)

Established: 2008

Mission: Humanitarian development through integrated approaches of capacity building, group formation, and experience based learning techniques.

Geographical Coverage: Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, Sanghar, and Hyderabad.

Beneficiaries: 5,000 in 2022 Widows, orphans, vulnerable children and adults, women and youth from rural and semi-urban areas.

MOJAZ FOUNDATION

Established: 2008

Mission: To empower vulnerable and marginalized communities by providing financial and non-financial services on sustainable basis through an inclusive approach.

Beneficiaries: 60,836 in 2022 Vulnerable and marginalized groups including women and men, boys and girls belonging to the poor strata, widows, youth, religious and ethnic minorities, and transgender people.

NATIONAL INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (NIDA)

Established: 1998 and 2008 (registered)

Mission: NIDA strives to mobilize and organize marginalized groups for management and development of resources.

Geographical Coverage: Started in Besham, KP and have since expanded to FATA, ICT, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, AJK, and Gilgit Baltistan.

Beneficiaries: 100,000 in 2022 Underserved and hard to reach communities in Pakistan.
