I have more than three decades’ long experience in development program and humanitarian crisis in strategic oversight and program management and technical functions of which more than 10 years’ senior leadership experience of managing multi-stakeholder, multi-country, high-value, multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural and geographically remote teams. I worked with diverse range of INGOs and media industry namely Concern Worldwide, Save the Children, Plan International Bangladesh, CARE Bangladesh, BBC Media Action, CBM International and Oxfam in a diverse range of positions.
Led overall program management, performed overall coordination and gave strategic steer of Rohingya refugee response for CBM International. Led, managed and supported partners to set up and delivered EWEA projects funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Germany (MOFA) and DG ECHO. I have more than 15 years of experience leading and managing responses to humanitarian crises in Asia, as well as wider strategic leadership in the international development arena. Oversaw, led and managed numerous medium to large-scale natural disasters – Cold Winter, Flood, Tornado, Cyclone and Water Logging, and Rohingya refugee response in Bangladesh. Well versed in cash-based program.
More than 6 years of experience in training and capacity building. 5 years of experience in Forecast-based Action/ Finance (FbA/F) and 3 years of experience in qualitative research.
I contributed, wrote and led writing successful concept notes and proposals to DFID/FCDO, Swiss Solidarity, ECHO, USAID, Irish Aid, UNCHF, START Fund, Sida, Rockefellers Foundation, MoFA, DFAT, MFAT, UNICEF and IOM worth more than US$ 20 million (approx.).
