Bisma Fazeen is an international development and humanitarian professional by training with over six years of experience in program implementation, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation. She most recently worked for Concern Worldwide where she supported programs responding to the on-going crisis in Syria in livelihoods, education, and protection. Prior to this, Bisma worked for the InterAcademy Partnership and the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network. Both aimed to use research and evaluation to increase the capacity and learning of international and national organizations in public policy, development, and humanitarian issues. Bisma has also worked in New York City in economic empowerment programming serving vulnerable youth, in Thailand as a teacher and adviser to improve English language learning, and in Haiti where she managed programs that addressed the skills gap in maternal health practitioners. She firmly believes in local capacity building as a core principle of humanitarian programming and is excited to continue this important work at the International Medical Corps as a Senior Officer. Bisma holds a M.S. in Development Management from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Global Affairs from George Mason University.
