Eddie has spent the last few years in the Concern Dublin Head office where he was Desk Officer for Somalia and played a leading role in Concern’s ongoing Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) certification and Humanitarian Quality Assurance Initiative (HQAI) audits. Before that he spent the bulk of his career overseas working in a range of countries, including Burkina Faso, Hong Kong, Armenia and former Yugoslavia. With Concern Worldwide he has served as Systems Director in Zambia, Country Director in Rwanda and Programme Director for South Sudan. He also has held positions with British NGOs, UNHCR and the Red Cross. Eddie holds a BS in Geography from the University of Bristol, UK, and a Master’s in Post-Conflict Recovery Studies from York University.
